Lima, Peru with Children

The majority of the guide books I read before our trip warned me that Lima was big on food and not much else. At least I can say I was warned. We enjoyed the few activities in the city but were very thankful we didn't spend much time in the city. We spent one day on arrival and one day on the return, which was enough time to hit all the major spots. 

We stayed in the Hilton Lima Miraflores. It was in a great location, had great services, a wonderful restaurant, and Sam was sold with the rooftop pool!

We grabbed a cab and headed over to Huaca Pucllana. It is a wonderful bit of Inca history in the heart of Lima. Groups can only tour with a assigned tour guide, which is tough on the little ones. The path is patted down but there is a considerable amount of stairs. I would leave the stroller at home and opt for a baby carrier in this situation.  The tour lasted about an hour so Sam did well with walking the majority of the time.
