Itinerary and Plane Travel to Peru with Kids

We booked our flights to and from D.C. through United. They had 1-stop flights from Dulles International (IAD) to Lima's Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM). We had a wonderful layover in Panama City. Traveling in a none stop flight is generally our preferred method but with such a long haul we opted for a layover. This let Sam get out of the plane and relax between long stretches. The Panama City Airport wasn't nearly as nice as the Inchon Airport that we adored in Korea but it had plenty of food and space to let Sam relax between flights. We booked all our in-country flights through LATAM airlines.

I have to make a quick note about all the road travel; the car rides were through the local areas and were very much part of the enjoyment of the trip. We were able to have private buses and cabs take us to and from the airports in comfort. The sights along the way were some of our favorite memories of the trip.
