Frying Pan Farm Park in Herndon, VA

Sam and I headed out to explore the farm located right in Fairfax county! What a special treat to have live farm animals so close to home in Herndon! Fun fact: all the presidential pardoned turkey's come to live at the Frying Pan Farm! The entire farm is free of charge, it makes a wonderful place to come for a picnic throughout the week. (Can't beat the price!) Sam loved being able to get so close to pigs, cows, goats, sheep, turkeys, and chickens.
There are picnic tables on the grounds as well as a small kids playground.
For an extra fee little ones can take wagon rides and a shop at a country store on the farm as well. On our trip we learned that the Farm hosts classes for kids through the Parktakes program. We're excited for the spring to check them out!
