Jongmyo (Chongmyo) Shrine with a Toddler

Even as the weather begins to chill in Korea, our little family is still heading outdoors to see the sights here in Seoul. We recently visited the Chongmyo Shrine.
It is a Unesco World Heritage sight. This was a great place to let Sam run around, take some fun pictures, and learn a few interesting facts about Korean history. This site is known for its calmness and relaxing atmosphere. I didn't think it was possible with a 1 and a half year old running around but I was wrong. The way the shrine is set up I could let Sam walk alone and I could easily follow and just relax. Nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Seoul. We went on a Saturday, when the shrine has open admissions. If you go on a weekday you must go with a tour group so check the times. (Links below.) Admission was only 1,000 Won.
