YP Bookstore & CNN Cafe in Seoul with a Toddler
Sam, like most toddlers her age, adores books. I've been searching for a good book store to add to her ever growing collection here in Seoul. We visited the YP bookstore and got an extra surprise; the CNN cafe is located inside the bookstore. Mom and dad got to fill our need for U.S. election coverage and Sam got to pick out a few new books, toys, and even got to play on a Cartoon Network Bus!
We drove there and found parking a few streets away from the cafe and as we were walking to the bookstore and cafe we saw this. THIS IS NOT THE CAFE! (We made the mistake of thinking it was and ended up going all the way up the building just to find out we were in the wrong place!)
When we went there was a children's play area decorated in Cartoon Network characters. There were network paraphernalia for sale as well as a TV showing cartoons and a large play bus! The children's section is very large and has several toys as well. In the foreigner section the children's English picture book section is plentiful. Time magazine for kids is also available if your little one wants to read about the news in the CNN cafe! ;)
The CNN cafe has coffee and desserts available. Large TVs display CNN international coverage. There are also computers available and printer services. The coffee and dessert we ordered were delicious, the staff was friendly and were willing to allow us to costume order some things for Sam. There are no highchairs available so make sure to pack your Totseat!
